New Family-owned Business Launches an Affordable Option for Today’s Demanding Lifestyles

How we started:

In today’s economy families are working 2 or more jobs, with demanding schedules, long hours and prolonged retirement. Those that are working are working harder than ever, and working longer than ever. The result – not enough energy, not enough time and some just don’t have the physical strength to get their weekly or monthly tasks or projects completed.

“This idea stemmed from several people asking for help with all sorts of “stuff,” but didn’t really know who could do it, or if anyone would even want to do it,” says owner and founder, Sharon DiGirolamo.

“I had been helping my elderly mother in law with some home cleaning needs each week. We were talking about options. She knew of the term “care givers,” which are the agencies that come in and do all sorts of things. She did not want to commit to a weekly schedule nor did she want a cleaning company come in because she had several different “light or odd” projects that would only happen occasionally. She wanted to be able to call “one place” that took care of all the little things.

“All she kept saying,” DiGirolamo explains, “was ‘I don’t know anyone that will clean my closet, organize it and bag up my clothes for donations– or what about if I just want to paint or clean one carpet?

“At the same time,” says DiGirolamo, “some friends of ours were talking about ‘someday’ painting the interior of their garage. They thought they would always just do it themselves when they had time. This went on for 10 years. They didn’t want to pay the high prices for a professional painter.  They just needed someone who would come in and do the job as they would, but had no options.”

Another example was a customer whose property had a huge yard but just needed a "Spruce Up to add curb appeal" . Her property was soon being listed for sale. She didn’t have a son or a husband or even a neighbor to do it for her, and she knew a landscaping company would not come just to rake, or if they did, would charge a high minimum. “There just weren’t any real affordable options,” DiGirolamo said.

“What we started to notice was that people needed an extra hand with things that they couldn't physically do, didn’t have the time to do, or just did not want to do. In addition, the cost for these projects to complete individually were extreme and the thought of getting the work done was overwhelming, which led people to not get the projects done at all. Dealing with one phone call and one company seemed to work. Customers found it easier and more affordable".

How we've evolved:

When you are thinking about putting your home on the market for sale, there are a variety of projects that may need to be completed.

We may eliminate the process of calling several contractors to complete these projects. Sometimes all you need is a little help, sometimes you need more, either way we could accomodate.

If it’s painting one room, washing windows, staining a deck, organizing the attic, de-cluttering your home or prepping your entire home for sale, Angel Rays, Home Task Team can help.

Angel Rays is a company that will do those “little” or "big" things at an affordable cost and will be well-worth not only your money, but also your time and ease of mind.  Think of us as your possible  "One Stop Shop!"
